Who We Are
Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan (STS) is an organization of retired teachers who are dedicated to promoting the welfare of all superannuated teachers, and to maintaining the ties which bind us to each other as fellow professionals. There are Chapters in Saskatchewan as well as central British Columbia.
STS offers a Retirement Lifestyle session and participates with the STF in Planning for Retirement seminars, as well as administering the STS Group Benefits Extended Health and Dental Plan.
One of the Aims of the STS is “To advocate, within the scope of influence of the STS, for the collective interests of superannuated teachers, retired teachers, members and older adults”.
In addition, the STS has affiliations with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF), the Canadian Association of Retired Teachers (ACER-CART) and the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism (SSM) that allows us to connect with and serve retired members in Saskatchewan and throughout Canada.
The Moose Jaw STS Chapter meets regularly to discuss issues of concern, to maintain valued contacts with former colleagues, and to enjoy a time of fellowship, every two months, through activities like speakers, tours, socials, luncheons, or recreational activities.
The chapter also supports various community organizations through regular donations.Provincial recreational events are held annually for bowling, bridge, pickleball, curling, fishing, golfing, Kaiser, Mah Jong, and quilting.
