Creamed Corn (to freeze)

Ingredients:

8 cups corn, stripped raw

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp water

Directions:

1. Melt butter in large soup pot.

2. Add everything else. Stir well.

3. Bring just to a boil. When bubbles start to show, start timing. STIR

CONTINUOUSLY. Cook 5-8 minutes.

4. Cool.

5. Bag and freeze (about 20 bags of 1 cup each.)

Additional Notes:

This is an old family recipe and I used to enjoy making this with my mother.

We would go to either the Farmers' Market or the Taber Corn truck and buy our corn. Then we'd get busy. We would end up standing over the pot, eating spoon after spoon of the finished product. It is so darn good!
